Why Fossil Creek Thin Veneer?

It can be used as stone siding, on fireplaces, chimneys, foundations, interior accent walls, columns, or any other architectural construction project that demands the finest surface covering.
Fossil Creek Thin Veneer can be a good alternative to either full depth veneer or manufactured stone veneers. Full depth veneer requires dedicated engineered support, but thin veneer weights under 15 pounds per square foot and can be adhered directly to the wall of your building just like stucco.

There are many bonuses for choosing to use natural stone thin veneer vs standard builders' grade which is 3" to 5" in diameter. Thin veneer creates a major weight loss on the entirety of a wall. In fact, it comes out to about a quarter (1/4) of the weight that builder's grade. For example, one ton of builder's grade will cover approximately 35 to 40 square feet, while one ton of thin veneer stone will cover approximately 150 to 160 square feet.
This makes it a top choice for interiors, above the roof applications and any area where weight is a factor. Natural stone thin veneer will also save on space. This is great for rocking areas above and below counter tops where space can be an issue.
San Juan Thin Veneer Flats (Snapped Face)
San Juan is a “chopped” product, created by sending slabs of stone through a hydraulic splitter. The result is a chopped ledge piece that reveals the inside of the stone. These chopped ledge pieces are then sent through a veneer saw to create the finished product with trimmed ends. The colors tend to be earth tone beige with horizontal lines running through pieces. Thin veneer flats are sold by the square foot and are shipped in crates.

Las Cruces Thin Veneer Flats (Natural Cleft Face)
Las Cruces is a “natural cleft face” product. Produced by splitting the stone, or separating it by its natural layers. It is the roughest and most natural looking finish. All four edges have a saw cut finish. Thin veneer flats are sold by the square foot and are shipped in crates.

Santa Fe Thin Veneer Flats (Snapped & Cleft Face MIX)
Santa Fe is a mix of snapped face and cleft face thin veneer. Standard ratio we package is 60% of cleft face to 40% of snapped face. Thin veneer flats are sold by the square foot and are shipped in crates.

Thin veneer corners are L shaped to give depth to corners. These corners can be used for interior and exterior applications, such as stone fireplaces, foundations, exterior siding, and columns. Thin veneer corners are sold by the linear foot and are shipped in crates.

It has a clean, modern appearance and is designed to make installation dry stack) much easier and faster than our other thin veneer products. Available in snapped, cleft, and mixed style.
